psyching myself up for a long set is more difficult than testing a 1 rep max for some reason. I guess I’m afraid of the tiredness causing a form breakdown.

once I got over 2 pt on squats I felt like it was really just the fact that you feel slightly afraid you're literally going to be crushed even though the bar is there to catch it
