So much for the “we’d accept the pope as a primacy of honor and as the tiebreaker in ecclesiastical disputes” line, huh

Well, in a dispute between two churches, Russia was unable to accept the EP as a final jurisdiction
-
a tiebreaker would indicate that there was an even dispute; there wasn't. EP was outnumbered among the churches. He has "chosen" his own path, for now.
-
if anything, Moscow should now hold that role, since as St. John Maximovich noted, there is reason to believe that Constantinople takes actions merely to preserve its holdings, as opposed to actions which are best for the mission churches.
-
Constantinople isn’t even an apostolic patriarchate how you gonna move it to Russia

Something something Third Rome
-
lmao anyone who thinks you can move EP and Primus w/out an ecumenical council in Orthodox ecclesiology is a numbskull
-
I do hope that a council will come out of this, considering this is the very sort of crisis requiring one.
