"its the most complex and majestic work of its kind" me: it's a mishmash of incredible scenes, but the plot doesn't make sense and moreover there's not really a way to grasp the symbolism, it's just a collection of what seems mysterious and incredible "how dare u"

look I'm not saying I don't enjoy both of these but let's be real, don't let your enjoyment of it cause you to back-write meaning into something what don't have it.

both works are more akin to horror than anything else - in horror the fact that it doesn't make sense adds to the dread. Perhaps Othello and Hamlet (and even perhaps Lear) are early cases of the Horror genre, I don't know.
