@grynspan I sometimes run into users still having legacy resource-fork Finder aliases. I know symlinks & new URL bookmarks will work.

@mjtsai@rbrockerhoff It is indeed documented that it reads alias files. That's the purpose of that API. Do you see otherwise somewhere? -
