Imagine your seatbelt recorded where you drove and then its manufacturer sold the data without your knowledge. That doesn't happen; seatbelt manufacturers have no incentive to do it. At least for ChromeOS, you can enable developer mode on all ChromeOS devices and have full control over your device if you choose. It's loud so it can't be done against the owner. Non-power users are kept safe by default. Do you disagree with that model?

That model's fine, but doesn't speak to what I was responding to -- you're back to what is claimed to be a "poor system architecture"
