The most sicko pathological aspect of US political culture: it’s always treated as a forgone conclusion that the US will be involved in the next crazy war, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. People are talking about war with China like it’s some unalterable law of nature

If it can well serve the interests of the American people - their livelihoods and well-being - to cooperate for a time with the governments of China, Russia, Iran, Syria, or North Korea, the US government should do that.
