Maybe peak civilizational dominance is like a torch. Egypt/Sumer > Greece > Rome > China > Arabs > Spain > Dutch > Brits > USA.
Once you let go you never get it back and its just mad dictators, debt crises, crumbling ruins, weird religions etc. all the way down sonny sorry 🤷♂️
