So what's the dealio with UK PMs being forced to resign? Seems like there's no official mechanism for the party to take him out. So if everybody hates him they just ride into the next election together and get killed for being so insanely divided?

41% of the party voted against him in the Vote of No confidence last month. He must maintain at least >50% support.
Tories threated a rule change allowing them to cast another VNC against Theresa May, so instead she resigned.
They are threatening Boris with the same thing now.
