Interesting so many conservative people in the UK are pakindian. I thought conservative voters there would be racist against them? Idk my mental model of this country needs work

The Conservatives are legitimately pretty diverse, doesn't mean their voters love immigration all of a sudden.

So I'm 100% making this up but with their habit of "parachuting in" candidates you really only have to impress the Conservative HQ nabobs and they basically hand you the seat (assuming you win). They don't have primaries, the locals don't get much of a say
