Has there has ever been a technology more devoid of actual applications while getting as much funding as web3? Web in 99 was mostly clear utility stories. Some weren’t ready, some were. Nobody can explain how web3 shit creates actual utility. Just mumbling about new tech.

> NFTs Doesn’t actually provide utility for users besides speculation and being in a club. Speculation isn’t a permanent standalone product and being in a club doesn’t require the worlds worst database. Other than that it’s jpegs with complex onboarding that each cost money?

> defi Seems the only benefit we’ve found is avoiding regulations which is awesome for monumental scams. Maybe you’ll figure something out but the bandwidth constraints make me doubt it. And DAOs have no magic, seem like corporations with no shareholder protections.

> cross game NFTs This would be nice but I don’t see why major publishers would go through the difficulty of implementing outside NFT items when they make money selling items? It’s the area I know least about tho I’m not a gamer.
