one time i brought dinner over to a neighbor i hadn't really met in new york and it set off a chain reaction on the floor of my building that broke the cycle of coldness and unfriendliness. ppl crave warmth, it is the natural state !!!

When I was a kid, there was this (literally) autistic kid named Pat who was extremely oblivious to all social norms (even to his constant bullying) and very very nice to everyone.
To me, a genius, was he the absolute coolest mother fucker I’d ever seen.
