If I were to pinpoint what I actually hate about PMs it’s their sense of self-importance. A PM is often a necessary part of a project, but their role is more like a secretary than a leader or creator. But they somehow always believe they’re the entire brains behind something

The blackpill is that if they don't oversell their importance, someone else will and beat them to promotion/better paying job. So, they're almost conditioned into being in this state.

IMO: PMs are petty elite bureaucrats, their labor doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to anyone not entrenched in business administration, BUT man there are few more formidable agents of change or stability or action than an effective bureaucrat, who sadly is far too rare a breed
