I would kill myself in my 1-2 hour daily uber ride to office if it wasn't for podcasts. For me they serve as white gaussian noise supressing bad thoughts in my mind.

Probably mostly true, tho I can vouch that listening to basically every software eng podcast on the planet was a good supplement for going from “wHat iS sOfTwaRe ArChitEcTuRE?” to “I think you wanna break this up” and “does the consumer NEED to know this implementation detail?”
