Liberal yimbys want to live in cities built like college campuses but could never support the rigorous policing of homeless people that make college campuses pleasant. Fantasy world ideology.

For the record I want the ultra dense walkable cities. I want to demolish city streets and build 12 story buildings on them, and have bike and walking paths connect everything. But I’m also realistic about what makes that sort of density at all tolerable.

I live in a city that's connected almost end to end with bike paths, it's like paradise! Love riding along a new part of trail in the middle of the city with the spouse and marvelling at how it used be perilous old train tracks we'd still ride on just to avoid cars

Not really, I live in Hamilton and it has a pretty progressive cycling plan for the city that they keep expanding and improving. I used to live in Toronto and it was hell for cycling, whereas Hamilton is a dream. I can never leave now lol
