Liberal yimbys want to live in cities built like college campuses but could never support the rigorous policing of homeless people that make college campuses pleasant. Fantasy world ideology.

For the record I want the ultra dense walkable cities. I want to demolish city streets and build 12 story buildings on them, and have bike and walking paths connect everything. But I’m also realistic about what makes that sort of density at all tolerable.

You don't have to if you're really in-the-paint when it comes to deregulating zoning and embracing 100% market rate housing. But I guess that's more centrist-YIMBY

The idea that the homeless guys who smoke crack next to my building are an $1100 1/1 away from being contributing pleasant members of society is insane.

Ideal yimby policy is 18th and 19th century Britain. Lots of constant pop expansion, and theirs are deported around the world
