You don’t have to be rich to be considerate. Throwing your trash wherever you stand doesn’t save you anything.

i'm not naive, i know homeless people can be a massive nuisance, but on the other hand it's not entirely surprising to me that people without food or shelter care very little about being polite

You have different rich friends to me. I am always surprised by how untidy they are. Like, do you just all have servants or live like this or what (I don’t think they have servants).

It does save you something, and it saves you more on the margin when you have less.
