Had a repairman over for a quote, and as I was explaining the issue, my husband walked in, and suddenly the repairman couldn’t see or hear me. But that’s okay, he had a nice conversation with my husband and I hired someone else to do the job.

Heh. When I am talking to any sort of contractor I'm like "Oh god please please please Husband, come and rescue me from this before I pay someone to wreck our house." Think I inherited this from my dad, he wasn't a machine person either.

I used to dread it when he'd bring home a new appliance because it always meant half a day of cursing and screaming and tangled cables.

Was probably trying to show the husband that he wasn’t a threat in his house, giving less attention to his wife and more to him would be any rational man’s response.
