I'm glad the mormon moms are swingers. The optimal model for society is explicit social conservatism with everybody turning a blind eye to consenting adults doing what they enjoy.
Norms are important and conservative norms are right.
That said, approach it the same way Jews approach sin. It's not going to send you to hell, it's just a missed opportunity to do good. And only individuals can make that call for themselves, so mind your own business.

I don't get it. What is right about a norm people have to self censor from? To me it sounds like it's defeating the purpose of the norm both in its content but also its normative function
