I defend cops but only under the premise that they do something useful to protect innocents. At this stage of policing though their absolute priority is every cop going home alive no matter how many fourth graders get slaughtered. What's the point of cops then

You're generalizing about hundreds of thousands of cops based on this incident. Cops engage armed people every day in this country. You know better.

Two horrible responses (if facts hold up), where we're talking about the conduct of what seems to be 3 or 4 cops. All police are not responsible for their failure. Most cops also get very little tactical training, yet police have engaged dozens or hundreds of Active Shooters.
