I went to this industrial IoT conference in 2018 and after several days of hype at one panel somebody asked "Are any of you actually seeing revenue increases at your companies from implementing IIoT?"

idk a lot of smart thermostats and speakers are sold, maybe it created revenue for people at a better conference
