If you ask a person who’s a parent to describe their “perfect day”, they’ll say something like “sleep in, watch tv, go to the spa, [etc]”. 90% of the time it won’t involve being with their kid. How to interpret this?

yeah but that's a pretty light relationship, kids impact your life way more
Break from the extreme responsibility that is having a young kid - a dog is not anywhere near the same

I dunno, if you google it about 1 in 3 posts say puppies are harder than babies. Seems like it’s at the very least somewhat comparable
