off the top of my head, a possible hypothesis may be that difficulty to rise into politics as a woman would select for worse leaders.

That's kinda vague though. They seem to suck in the same way, like they're all fake in the same way.
Pelosi, Clinton, Harris, they all seem fake. Margaret Thatcher seemed real af, I want one of those here

this is true for many women in that generation bc they had to shed all traditionally female characteristics and essentially became very rude and cut throat male versions of themselves. encountered a lot in finance.

Not sure if it’s a mitwit take but I always assumed it was due to the prestige placed on the executive level compared to other countries that place prestige on the Westminster style systems
