Forgive me, but unless I’ve missed a previous post that suggests this person is harassing or degrading you, isn’t this just someone asking someone else out? I asked a lass whom I worked with out in 2006. We’ve been married for 13 years this year. Not sure I get the issue 🤷‍♂️

For one thing, attitudes may've changed in 15 years. Two, I wager you asked her out very differently, and not directly after being a bit rude to her, in an email clearly about something else.
