I never quite understand what people mean by scarcity/abundance mindset
even after googling
like, is being frugal with your money even if you have plenty "scarcity mindset" or something else?

There are 2 flavors imo
scarcity mindset towards your life: not spending your resources because you’re worried about running out (even if there’s no danger)
scarcity mindset towards the world: believing resources are finite and interactions with ppl are zero sum games

I think it's easy to see scarcity mindset in gamers managing their in-game inventory.
"I can't use this health potion, what if there are none later"
In some games, as in some lives, this is reasonable and wise. But the fear is wider than the reality and slows development
