Why are such lofty goals necessary? What would you do with several hundred million dollars? Isn't it enough to be financially comfortable?

It's about impacting the world as much as possible. I'm good, so I should impact the world. If you're not good then you shouldn't.

Impact sounds like wiggle word bullshit, valuations are your actual impact on the world. And you founded an employee owned company so I doubt you'll have much impact on the world.

What a bizarre world view you have! Dollar valuations don't have a lot to do with impact. Look up the dot com boom. Employee ownership is the way ahead - how is it fair that profits go to shareholders rather than the people that are doing the work and creating value?
