“trust issues” are not even issues. it’s perfectly reasonable to think that humans are self interested, and that most people will serve their imperatives over yours when they come into conflict

some experiences are not worth the risk/cost. doesn’t mean you go around being completely reserved and hostile. i’d argue you’d live a much better/exciting life and help the people in your circle by internalizing this. too much of people’s time is spent playing status games

i should emphasize *most people* in the original tweet. this is why true loyalty and brotherhood are hard to come by. most people denigrate their principles and get swept into status games
