It’s smart to have kids as a teenager. Get it out of the way, by the time you’re 35 they’re out of the house.

Honestly, my oldest sister had her 1st kid at 17 & her last one at 25, now she’s 47 & vacationing 4x yr in the tropics with her lovely adult children while I’m still in baby phase
She’s more than a decade older than me so there would always be a difference but she did it right

Your parents will help you raise them if you're a teenager too. That way you can still focus on your grindset. What kid doesn't love spending time with their grandparents anyway?

Most of your friends will still be broke at 35 because ‘YOLO’. Also, you will likely have different friends if you are married w/kids. People you’ve met in the neighborhood & community that have kids, shared values & goals.

I actually believe this, and like to think about what it would take to make that a workable norm

I know ppl that had a lot of struggles when young. Pregnancy, young marriage, broke (but working), more kids etc. but they hung in there and now do very well, and their kids are now going to college/working taking over family business.
