I know a couple engineers who have absolutely no passion for the craft... like they got straight A's but have no recreational interest whatsoever

I worked for a year at Cornice Inc. before it went under, and I can absolutely confirm this. I, however, was an intern who had to assemble 500+ daughter board fixtures, and do functional testing before shipping to China everyday.
