It got me interested in working out but after four years I was doing strict ring muscle ups and looking roughly the same (tragic chestlet)

I'll defend crossfit as an on ramp to working out, especially barbell lifting. If you had given me this set of instructions as a 24 year old who never really lifted, I would've continued never lifting. The class and coaching environment helped.
