I use four external monitors with my macbook air and only plug in one cable when I sit down

I like the M1’s but to say it’s the endgame and then link to a $250 part to get basic usage out of it is what a poop head would say

ok, it works well and the MBA itself is like $900 so if you want this really great user flow it's overall pretty reasonable
Have been looking for a thunderbolt like that to drive 3 4k monitors off my m1. Some of the reviews for the one you linked mention latency issues due to software driving the displays vs hardware. Can you confirm/are there good workarounds or better docks?

Not sure if they just meant displaylink compression (which I think adds perceivable artifacts around 3 or 4k) or something else
