Buy an M1 Macbook Air. It's like the end of history computer.

Some things are wildly fast on an M1. Then sometimes it feels like it’s purposefully trying to brick itself.

If you used the migration utility then you should make sure you have M1 versions of apps installed. A few things were wonky for me until I reinstalled the program

You’re absolutely correct. Which is why I always start a new machine fresh and only install when I need it. Maybe just a lemon machine?
