I am not worried about AGI going full skynet on us. I am worried about quite good AI models rendering whole professions obsolete in the span of just a few years, and the economic and social upheaval that will come with that.

Not going to happen. Same reason self driving cars are always 1 year away— solving real human problems requires nuanced task definition that’s impossible to get without actually living in the real world
