I am not worried about AGI going full skynet on us.
I am worried about quite good AI models rendering whole professions obsolete in the span of just a few years, and the economic and social upheaval that will come with that.

People compare it to the model T and industrialization, etc. I disagree just because tech in the past unlocked more jobs doesn't mean AI will in the future. I'm guessing more of a WALL-E society where we trade DALL-E generated nfts

I think we'll work people back into the economy as usual in new roles
I don't think 1/5th of the workforce losing their careers forever all within a few years has ever been done, and I doubt the machine can digest that spike in a tenable timeframe
