women may not appreciate that good boyfriends aren't randomly distributed across all social but cluster together. guys learn dating and relationship norms from each other, and also pick friends based on how they treat women (same may be true of girlfriends, but I wouldn't know)

no one "picks" friends out of a lineup, but as I grow closer to some or choose to keep my distance from others I 100% notice what they do in their dating life and how they interact with the girls in the group

Interesting. Maybe I exclude guys based on that, more of a filter than a magnet. But also it usually doesn't come up because guys of a class and affect usually behave about the same with women

yes, in circles where I travel now real assholes are much rarer, but I've been in plenty of places (e.g. business school) where some dudes behaved really shockingly

maybe we just got older, hopefully both clueless nerds and creepy fuckbois grow out of it by the time they hit 30 and start thinking about marriage
