Scaling way past 10x. If we look at only software companies and their revenue per user (Facebook is a good choice for me) and compare it to the amortized cost of an iPhone then it might come close to even

right and facebook had to re-engineer everything like 10 times it's true margins are still amazing but a startup probably shouldn't be worried about compute costs more than abt actually pushing products bc if the initial experiment works they're gonna rewrite everything anyway

Well path dependency and hurdles are a thing right. It’s not about average cost at end state but how you get there. Lean startup methodology is to use cash to test theses and then to build based on those results rather YOLO Webvanning it.
