If we look at only software companies and their revenue per user (Facebook is a good choice for me) and compare it to the amortized cost of an iPhone then it might come close to even

right and facebook had to re-engineer everything like 10 times
it's true margins are still amazing but a startup probably shouldn't be worried about compute costs more than abt actually pushing products bc if the initial experiment works they're gonna rewrite everything anyway
