India must remain neutral.
The West colonized India, funded Pakistan, tried to stop Goa’s reclamation and Bangladesh’s independence, and sanctioned India for going nuclear to defend itself vs China.

World won't understand what India is doing is best for its citizens. Russia is skeptical of China because if Russia becomes weak & crippled, China will take a state or two to be the biggest nation. India on the other hand keeps China in check from a Russian perspective as well.

If we break the non alignment stance which is in place since 1947 then we send Russia to be just friends with China which would be a bigger hell to us and lose a country who have never sold any advanced weapons to Pakistan on principle which are hard to find in the modern world.

Requiring a clean history of never selling weapons to Pakistan is the kind of self-enforced handicap that makes India a non power
Well you can name call and say whatever but if the USA sells weapons to both India and Pakistan that cannot be a bigger ally than the one who doesn't sell advanced warfare weapons to Pakistan.
If India is a non power why the fuss about it's abstaining from the voting ?

Because India has incredible potential.
The US works with Pakistan because we have to, because they are willing to align. But they have been terrible partners in the past 20 years for many reasons, and India and the US's interests have aligned with the rise of China
