If you direct it to nonprofits then you can get more by having them donate directly. This allows them to write it off as a tax deduction.

How does that work? Find out what they normally pay and suggest an increase?

Get a number worked out then ask them to bump it by 10% if they send it directly to a nonprofit. If they can’t/won’t not a big deal but just a way to maximize when possible
