I think it makes sense for Westerners to care more about war in Ukraine than wars in Africa because we actually know the players in this war and understand the context.
It’s not racist I just never understand that Africa stuff when I try reading about it!!!

Sure, but also to my point: I understand the lives of places that have stuff like basic infrastructure! I get their suffering when that isn’t available because somebody blew it up

There's no point in caring about Russian-involved conflict because it will just resolve itself in nuclear bombs and we're all dead so who gives a fuck
But with African wars you get sweet aid concerts and funny hashtags about child soldiers all from the comfort of your home

I mean not for nothing we don’t also have a mutual defense agreement with 70% of the countries in Africa so the diplomatic concerns are very different
