There are few things more important for the US now, than securing critical domestic manufacturing capacity for when this event plays out again with China. And instead we are all using it to take potshots at each other in the culture wars.

America goes 100% at things, including peace and war. It’s actually not a bad strategy if you can get some of your long term assets in place during peacetime.
