Meditation, sleep, sun, lifting, coffee, friends, twitter, sex, coffee, stretching, psychedelics, reading, so many of the best things in life all have very little to do with money. We’re lucky it worked out this way

its sad that this has been taken so far out of context (even with your clarifications)

yeah, I didn’t mean to hurt or offend anyone 😕 I was mostly just excited about it being a sunny day and saw some teenagers in the grass that were happy too and was I was thinking how it was nice they didn’t need money for that thanks paige

what you wrote is actually a very useful, correct, and actionable observation for the many unhappy people who have sufficient money to be above the bottom levels of Maslow’s but aren’t, because they haven’t learned it. Presumably this includes many attacking you

I’ve found it interesting that almost all the attacks talk in the third person about fictional people. Like ten people have said “imagine someone had $0 how could they lift they have to buy weights” but no one has said “I want to lift but can’t find a way to do it, limited by $”

The latter group doesn’t exist for the same reason the mythical $100 bill on the street doesn’t - if they did, and were serious, Internet people would buy or give them weights

there’s also lots of body weight exercises. I did body weight exercises for 6mo when I was in quar in rural island where it was hard to get weights I think it’s totally fine if people don’t lift / exercise, but making up fictional ppl who can’t do it bc they have $0 is weird

there was one thread where someone implied you can’t meditate unless you’re rich and invented a guy in that way and someone chimed in saying they meditated while homeless and it was really helpful for reducing their suffering, then the ppl in that thread basically ignored him
