Sig amt of what counts as ‘lack of empathy’ is blind to v subtle facial signals etc. Even if cld explain rules for facial expressions (you can’t), wld take too long. Like Sacks’ patient who lost motion detect part of visual system. Had to mentally calc car speed when xing street

I have. No e would know I was autistic unless I turned mask off. I dont care to hide it anymore though so rarely wear.
But thats because my autistic field of study is human behavior. Most autists have different special interests. But still probably illogical for them to complain
