Had a near spiritual experience at the British Museum. Had no idea every picture in my third grade world history book was taken in one building.

did u go straight to the national museum when u arrived ?
i did that once after an overnight flight on my first trip there and it was truly memorable, i had no idea they had so many great paintings and seeing them while sleep deprived somehow accentuated the experience

Yes and yes absolutely my sensitive state had to prime me to see these wonderful treasures. Great way to do it

If you’re in london you’d do well to visit the Sir John Soane museum. It’s free, and great for anyone interested in architecture

One of first times in London I knew an archaeologist there. She gave me a behind the scenes tour- the labs etc. Was very cool
