in middle Britain, they realize Americans tip like crazy, and I love it. i make a point of it: you've given me a Stella at the end of my hard day, or a G&T with muddled strawberries, and i appreciate it in a way even your fellow countrymen do not

I love that you added this. I invited my Turkish friends to an Independence Day BBQ celebration and when the in-laws visited from Turkey, I made the family a Halal apple pie!
