NEVER MIND, got my M1 MacBook Air working with four external monitors. Performance seems totally fine too! Never mind this doesn't work with my monitor setup so I'm gonna have to return RIP Oddly enough the M1 13-inch MBPs can only do one external monitor as well, while the 2018 Intel version can do two I'll buy the 14 inch MBP in a few months twitter.com/growing_daniel…

I'm pretty sure both of these devices have their own somewhat weak internal GPUs and that's how they're able to get around the limit Curious to see these reddit posts. I used a 2018 MBP with this dock + 3 monitors for over a year.
