I don’t blame my mom at all. She didn’t know about any of that medical shit. That’s why I hate her telling me “well, I warned you.” And that’s why I hate other people telling detrans people not to blame doctors. It’s their job to know better and warn us.

Thank you for speaking up about your story. You are absolutely right - those with medical training DO know better and they are being negligent (at best). No one can change their sex no matter how distressed they are. Sorry for your pain.

Yes, for the first time in his life, our son wouldn’t listen to anything we said. He believed the affirm-only therapists and learned the hard way that transitioning wasn’t for him. I wonder, in his case, if it was part of separation and becoming an adult.
