it's still a boring ass painting (one perspective,no inner movement) if you compare it to what the baroque did after.
you don't have to like contemporary art (assuming you don't know the difference between modern and contemporary)

it's just that as societies and tech change art can get free of some old needs it had,like painting realistically

just cause they had more effort put in them/or cause modern day medicine sucks and gives you collateral damage.Things change
