Owen Sound's 160th Emancipation Festival is this weekend. The historic fest begins at Grey Roots on Friday @ 6 PM with a Speaker's Corner, and wraps up in Moreston Village Sunday, 12-3 PM with Gospel Sunday.

We cut the ribbon on the Zooz's Place Children's Gallery Friday at 10:30! It's a PD day, so bring out the kids for this free celebration. We've got kids activities, a huge pair of ribbon cutting scissors, crafts and complimentary ice cream cones!

Grey County flags are at half mast to mark the passing of Grey County's past Warden, George Schafer. Mr. Schafer served as Warden in 1983 (rep. Glenelg Township). The County flags have been lowered in his memory, & will remain lowered until sunset on the day of his service.
