Nearly 10% of inmates at the Hampden County jail tested positive for the coronavirus. At the moment, though, the jail has no plans to retest any of the inmates, even though some who tested negative may have been in close contact with another inmate who had the virus.

Ye Ol' Watering Hole in Northampton has been closed since mid-March due to COVID. “I’m praying for a vaccine,” Jim McGorry, the bar's owner, said. He's not alone -- MA bars that don't serve food aren't able to open under state rules. How they are faring:

Janet Kline works in the law library at the Hampshire County Jail and has been helping people vote. “I would say 60% didn’t think they could vote,” she said of those she has spoken with. “A lot of them thought if they had ever been convicted of a felony they couldn’t vote."

If you're incarcerated in MA and serving time for something other than a felony, you can vote. But, there is often “de facto disenfranchisement,” of these voters, advocacy groups say. For example, they may not have access to voting materials or don't realize they are eligible.

James Cyr really wants to see President Donald Trump voted out of office on Election Day. But because he is incarcerated for a felony, he can’t vote in the upcoming election — not technically, at least. How he's having a say:
