Hypothetical situation
Student Doc X was a rapper (w/ real songs, their own label) prior to #medschool & continued to make music while in school. No one at school knew of this, their “two identities” were completely separate, never a mention of medicine/school in songs

One day, X decided to disclose this info to a faculty member. The next day, X is suspended until further notice without explanation. X is asked to come to “meetings” where X is only drug tested (negative x3) before being sent home. Still no explanation as to what’s happening. 2/

A scheduled meeting with disciplinary committee was postponed (
#COVID19). X is then told that they violated the school’s code of conduct. X is dismissed from all classes (inc. online) & financial aid held (as no longer enrolled in classes), board exam license suspended 3/1 reply 0 retweets 4 likesShow this thread -
They are now waiting for that meeting to determine if they will be able to continue
#medschool. They are crushed, devastated and lost Does the school have grounds for suspension/dismissal based on rap song/videos? Any advice/resources for this#medstudent?#MedEd#MedStudent 4/1 reply 0 retweets 6 likesShow this thread -
